ABOUT TRIALWARE
Trialware is a not a type of software but a marketing technique
where you, the user, have the opportunity to evaluate a software
program before purchasing it. Trialware is copyrighted software.
When you purchase a trialware disk you are paying for the disk
only, not the software. Some people prefer to call trialware try-
before-you-buy software. With trialware you get to test drive the
software before you purchase it. You purchase the software by
sending the registration fee directly to the author. This is the
only way the author receives income from trialware.
Trialware authors allow dealers to copy and distribute their
software with few restrictions. You may look at it, use it, keep it
or give it away, but if you continue to use it you must register
the program. By registering, you acquire certain rights and
benefits depending on the author. These include such things as the
right to use the software, printed documentation, upgrades or
upgrade notices, telephone or mail support and additional software.
If you don't register/purchase the trialware you MUST remove it from
your computer and discontinue use of any version of it. It is a
violation of copyright laws to use software without purchasing it.
After the trial period, trialware stops working.
